HOUSE IN “BRYLÓWKA”
Positioned just a handful of minutes outside of Poland’s mountain capital of Zakopane, the single family house is designed in traditional local Swiss influenced mountain architecture. The house is designed to serve a family of four.
There are 2 parti’s driving this project. For one, by condensing a majority of the programs needed the ground floor was able to open up and have direct and open connection between family spaces. This results in the windbreaker room, staircase, guest bedroom, bathroom, and closet to take up 22% of the floor plan, allowing the other 78% to be taken up by family room, kitchen, and outdoor family space. Secondly, the office, made for a busy businessman, was strategically placed in the heart of the home. Wanting to be placed in midst of chaos, the businessman can take phone call after phone call and lead his business without having to isolate himself from his family, creating a rapid and pressured environment to his liking.
Set to break ground in 2025.
